A woman told the House Ethics Committee earlier this year that she once saw Matt Gaetz have sex with a minor.

It’s not quite that straightforward. Depends on the state law, age of the participants, whether there was money exchanged, state line crossed, coercion… I’d like to see the Ethics Committee report. But by all accounts, Gaetz broke laws. His partner in crime was convicted.

Thank you. I make that distinction whenever possible. I also correct people when they say “child porn.” Porn involves consenting adults. If children are involved, it’s child sexual abuse material. The words matter.
