LOL -- White House econ adviser Kevin Hassett admits on Fox News Sunday that on tariffs "I can't give you any forward-looking guidance on what's gonna happen this week. The president has got a heck of a lot of analysis before him, and he's gonna make the right choice I'm sure."

Beyond that, wondering what happens logistically when something left a foreign port a month ago and arrives in the US and Customs has to apply completely new tariffs onto it before they unload it.

It'll sit there until someone pays the tariffs for it to be released. At some point, if it makes economic sense, the people who sent it will pay to ship it back to where it came from.

Sometimes when you ship internationally you get a rate that includes custom clearance, wondering what happens then

I know that action from the executive is usually a "lets figure out which agencies, companies and individuals this affects and allow enough lead time for them to do it as smoothly as possible" and, of course, they're absolutely not doing it that way.
