For TNR, I reviewed Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, which is entertaining, nice to look at, incredibly stupid, and historically meaningless

Excellent just what I'm looking for in a Friday night streamer. Mission accomplished Ridley see you in 6-8 months hopefully.

You left out "The Emperor's New Clothes," Ian Holm's third go-round as Napoleon, a slyly entertaining movie (I hope to god Ridley isn't reaching for slyness, it would not be a good look for him.)

Sounds like Alien films.
Are there xenomorphs, at least?

"Napoleon Bonaparte: Xenomorph Killer" is probably being written & uploaded to a fan fiction site as we speak

One of the big challenges with historical movies is just expectations management.
Always trying to listen to the story the director wants to tell.

In this case it seems like the story he wants to tell is closer to Pearl Harbor

I'm only going to see the four hour director's cut if it has Tom Bombadil
