I have a co worker who said he hasnt read a book since highschool, he is still relatively young, so I talked to him about all of his interest to try to find a good book for him to get back into the reading pool.
This is the way. Make small changes so they last. Ok, so reading books isn't the type of activity that advice usually applies to but so many people read 0 books that bumping it up just a little would be a huge improvement.
If you end up enjoying Iron Prince, there's also the Red Rising series. Oh, and I can't forget about Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Or Artemis. Or The Martian. Really, if you like sci Fi, just read everything Andy Weir has written.
There are a lot of lessons to be learned from some fiction books. Don't discount their contribution to shaping how we see the world. Also, just reading a book for enjoyment is nice, too.
Whole series of books call " Books that have changed mans thinking " - " Brave new world "1984" " Candide ""Gullivers Travels "- classifed as fiction when publushed
I try for at least one a month & sometimes one a week. Depends on the length of the book, really. I am now collecting collections of tales for my next child, so we will be reading the same book together. He gets no choice in this matter until he is reading on his own. And then the library for fun.
How much time do you spend reading? I'm happy to have finished 10 this year. Might get an 11th in depending but the Sanderson Wheel of Time books are thick.
I always have two novels going - if one is too heavy the other will lighten. currently made a reading bad pairing: Crime and Punishment and Han Kang's Human Acts. both outstanding, but...
Only 1 or 2? I've read at least 14 novels and at least 10 nonfiction books. To be fair I'm unable to work right now but I don't think 12 novels a year is asking too much.

Granted, I started in late September-early October, and they're the books based on the Resident Evil games, but still....
Iron Prince if you like action, lots of duelling and anime style fighting.
Children of Time if action isn't a big deal and you just want a good fucking storyline.
I tend to rocket through 2-4 each week
If you scroll an hour/day, you're reading a novel's worth of content every week. (If a novel is 100,000 words and you read 250 words per minute)
