After 9/11, NATO countries & also Australia, Canada & Denmark sent troops to Afghanistan when the US wanted help. UK lost 457 troops, Canada 159, France 90, Germany 62, Denmark 43...a lot relative to their population. Denmark has a population of just 5.5m.
