I never clung to that fantasy in the first place. The GOP members of Congress have already demonstrated they will be no check on Trump. I suspect most of them secretly hope he recesses them and makes recess appointments but he would rather bring them to heel publicly.

Someone should leak it and, if that's illegal, Biden should issue a pre-emptive pardon to the leaker. The same with all of the evidence in the Trump January 6 case.
