Breaking news: Trump is preparing to dissolve the leadership of the U.S. Postal Service and absorb the independent mail agency into his administration, potentially throwing the mail provider and trillions of dollars of ecommerce transactions into turmoil.

This is the fear inherent to our democracy, that the other side won't play by the rules anymore. Trump has taken total control over the apparatuses built to check the executive.
Effectively, we do not.
Not to get all doomer, but I do not have high hopes for a fair election in 2028. I do not mean that there is no hope in resisting, there certainly is, as it can mitigate harm.
Again, take what I say with a grain of salt. It's late here.
It looks like Trump is doing a hostile takeover of the US, just like a business owner would. In a few years, every service is either under Trump or Musks control
