For all of the powerful forces diligently trying to replace reality with Trump’s worldview, this weekend was a small reminder that a huge part of the country is largely immune to the effort. Gift link: https://wapo.st/3EQUTiR

Wake me up when a significant majority of Republicans don't approve. Otherwise it's not going to be of any consequence. A bit cynical, but it's pretty inexplicable to me how people voted for this.
Thanks you for sharing! I dropped WaPo after the inauguration, but I deeply miss Philip Bump and Aaron Blake. I *almost* resubscribed a couple weeks ago, but WaPo did something new that reminded me why I took my support away in the first place. Glad I can follow @pbump.com here!
that ad is trash.🗑 Saw it on GET network stacked with some other propaganda ad abt Trump tax cuts framing it as for the middle class. MOVIES network has the tax ad also.
Interesting … because I feel that there is a healthy percentage of the Republicans that have no clue who trump really is - they voted for him & they’ve been conned.
might this only be because main stream media’s reach is fading fast? the power of right wing media was it’s influence in agenda setting for the main stream. bullshit stories always filtered over and we covered as true, but no more. is this the solution to popping that info bubble?

Thanks, this was great! "...It [YouGov poll for the Economist] found that only about a third of Americans supported the Trump-Musk push to fire hundreds of thousands of federal workers. Among Republicans, more than 6 in 10 supported the idea. Among non-Republicans, though, fewer than 1 in 5 did."

That’s probably stupid and cruel.
Like when the kids have legal status and the parents don’t and they’re watching TV together after dinner. Family separation before bedtime.
Sounds Stephen Miller sadistic.
