Young men, in general, do not read much. And, again in general, they sure don't pay close attention to news. The attacks on Walz were intended to inspire those voters to pull the lever for Trump. Young men, still figuring out who they are and what they think, were swayed by that.

I've seen this first hand at my job, where a lot of guys still in their mid-late 20s, early 30s kept complaining a lot on matters involving "wokeness" or "transgender" people. I heard some complaints about immigration, but wokeness and transgender dominated the political discussions.
