I once saw a priest searching for the perfect cracker with which to teach the Eucharist to preschoolers — the key requirement being, make the cool snack part of church totally unpalatable to kids. He settled on seaweed crackers with sesame seeds. Worked like a charm.
The GF wafers at General Convention this summer were my platonic ideal of a wafer, but I have not figured out the right person to ask where they got them from. They were thicker and more cracker like and so yummy.
