At home: Stonewall Kitchen salted caramel into the mug, be generous. Add generous amount of original ovaltine, mix. Heat up milk in a measuring cup, add to the mug in stages, stirring.
Enjoy.
The cacao has delivers a lot of nitric oxide, what has a very positive influence on my blood pressure and blood flow. Just saw my doc a week ago for confirmation.
Always milk
Sometimes ouzo or sambuca
1) Hot cocoa & hot chocolate are not the same thing. Do hot chocolate
2) Better chocolate makes better hot chocolate. Always.
3) Use 2 oz (by weight) of chocolate for every 6 oz of dairy
4) Don't heat the dairy above approx. 170º if you can help it
6) Throw in a pinch of salt
7) Whisk vigorously to incorporate
8) Other spices can be nice, but use them sparingly
You start by heating up whole milk and you add in chocolate (the thick one for baking) and powder chocolate (the ones that have 70% cocoa) add a little bit of sugar. Let it boil for 15 mins and remove when it has thickened. You can also add cinnamon or chili flakes.
Enjoy!
Drop 2 or 3 Lindor Lindt truffles into hot milk and stir it until they melt. It is simply heavenly
