The best larp I played this year was Helicon - it destroyed me (https://helicon.narrators.eu/). An absolutely heartbreaking story of inspiration and loss, and one of the most challenging relationships to play. I loved it.
I made a soundtrack for that relationship: https://www.mixcloud.com/simon-brind/helicon/

Would you humor me with what has made your larp experiences amazing? What works and what doesn't?
(and the food was amazing)
They are at a multiplanar convergence which mix animism, med-fan, contemporary, futuristic and even real life characters.
The larpers seem to love how crazy it is. Intimidating, though.
My subjective adoration of tragic love stories and type two fun should not inform the design of other larps - unless they are also fond of the same outcomes :D
