$16m is less than fans expected unless Cucho decided he wanted out, but $16m + sell-on could be big.
Hard to imagine any scenario in which a new signing slots in right away and they don't lose any time waiting for players to get up to speed in what was to be a high expectations season.

It’s a great move for Cucho. This gets him on a more visible and “respectable” level for the national team. (MLS bias still exists). And with the World Cup next year, he’s good enough that we could see him make the squad.
