Not all. Also, only new bike lanes that remove a lane of traffic need to be approved by the province.

IIRC, the legislation stipulates that the construction of bike lanes can't cause the removal of car lanes. I think the lanes under consideration meet that criterion. But I think they still need to be approved by the province. Need to go back and read the leg.

They do not need to be approved by the province. Only lanes that remove vehicle lanes do.

These ones may be more contentious. DuPont I believe includes removing a lane of traffic. Do it, don’t obey in advance Toronto!

Dupont would in theory and although it is part in the Council-approved 2025-2026 Cycling Network Plan, it's not part of these projects to be approved next week.

The law is set to remove Bloor, Yonge, University--pending the election & @cycletoronto.bsky.social legal challenge. But none of the new projects would remove travel lanes so technically not subject to provincial meddling as @ohtheurbanity.bsky.social said.
