As for insisting she's a boy... go actually look at her arcade mode for XX, not XXAC+ which is noncanon unless you think I-No died or was frozen in time and thus Overture, Xrd, Vastedge, and Strive are noncanon to you i guess.

was noncanon. Except in reality they never cared about XXAC+ being canon or not because they didn't give a shit stuff from it was ignored for tons of characters like both possible endings for I-no and the entire main plot of it. Like everything, it's them pretending to care about the series.
