I'm struggling to find a version of the jaberwock that will translate well into embroidering and I may end up drawing one from the source art available. I would like to feature at least part of the poem in that one.

This is the version I know of it. One of my favorite books. You could do a larger depiction of just the head with an excerpt from the poem spilling out of it's mouth. Just a suggestion. I can't wait to see what more you do either way 😀

Thank you! I am going to be doing both the more "mainstream" characters and the obscure "from the book" scenes. I anticipate 18-20 total scenes, many of which, though not all, based on the Tenniel artwork.

LOVE IT! Always loved the original art. To me, best Alice based on that would have been Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary on Little House). <3 lol Anyway, truly LOVE your work!!!

I could absolutely see Anderson in that role. I am listening to a biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder called "Prairie Fires" right now and just re-watched the TV series and reread those books. I have been contemplating art from that series after this!

There are a TON more from the art I want to do.

Prairie Fires is a very well written interesting biography. It has lead me down a rabbit hole of other work I am going to consume. I currently have an audible membership though I will be dropping it again soon and that was one of the free to listen selections.
