Fake NGO’s putting billions of U$Raid money into the pockets of our own politicians is a disgrace. They could be arrested and all assets confiscated. Take the billions and help the kids and those that need healthcare.
This is not quite accurate, more like riding a motorcycle into a brick wall backed by steel. China will emerge as the victor in short order as Americans suffer.
Plot twist: everyone - politicians, businessmen, judges, are all in this. All the ridiculous executive orders were made just so the justices had something to "appear" to be opposed to so it looks like they're doing something for the constitution.
Yep. Just look at the Bridge and Road Initiative, building Silk Road 2.0. It's been going for 15 years and it makes actual progress. I just heard they completed yet another port, this time in Latin America (Costa Rica, close to Limon)
Same here. Not a fan. Neither a fan of today's US.
China's predominant line of thought is Confucian. Rational (non-emotional), ok to operate behind the scenes, not in the open. When making a mistake they learn from it, don't blame others. They are in for the long game (see BRI). Trump can't win.
It may feel like this, but they are actually a great risk to Europe, since they could start dumping surplus products in Europe that they can't profitably sell to the US anymore. This will be a delicate balance.
An unregulated flow of cheap EVs would severely damage German and French carmakers. China is heavily subsidizing theirs. It's really quite amazing how they are using the EV transition to conquer global automotive markets that a few years ago wouldn't have touched Chinese cars with a ten foot pole.
I know. A beautiful example of China playing chess vs. the rest of the world playing checkers. The price a whole industry pays for holding on to "vinyl records" in times where "streaming platforms provide the music".
Btw, it has been foreseeable for years. Sandy Munro, a US expert in the industry predicted that years ago. A well invested 30 minutes to see the history (Japanese wave in the 80s) and future of automotives.
Fair concern. No matter how one turns it, China will do the automotive market worldwide what Japan did in the 80s. And this will have huge impact on Germany's economy.
China was practically a third world nation only 40 years ago. It's now the second largest economy, with awesome infrastructure (the envy of the world), leading in transition to renewables, practices state capitalism, and doesn't do populist short term politics.
For me it is an undemocratic, aggressive and hostile regime towards the West - its economic development (impressive, in fact) only makes it more dangerous.
Cartoon would work better if it was a line of cybertrucks being faced down by a Chinese tank. China is not a weak but brave little student protestor. It's a giant with multiple levels they can pull to strike back hard.
The Pontiac Aztec was far ahead of its time . It was a very reliable and off road worthy vehicle . Yes it was weird looking but it was super functional and fun . I wish they would bring it back .

@bsky.app
There's a full minefield of T bill mines with Capital Controls drone coverage between those cybertrucks and "China".
The bros won't understand until those trucks go up in a blaze of hubris like the rolling Roman candles they are.
🤣

Helpful to remember they're also lead by a dictator though.
The future is in the East. India, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, etc.
Good reads (sorry, one is German only, it appears):
China play chess, the US plays checkers. China generally sticks to economic agreements and definitely started fewer wars than the US since WWII.
And when it comes to human rights violations, doesn't Trump give China a run for the lead?
Xi definitionally is a dictator. He's made himself president for life. But where most are volatile he's staid. He generally doesn't let ego rule him.
What you sign today will be honored tomorrow. Xi won't randomly decide that he wants his new ring kissed and come back for another pass at you.

Trump, Musk and his unreliable vehicles don’t
In Tibet?... Around Taiwan?... With Uighurs?...
Autocratic China is becoming richer, more powerful and more aggressive - much like Japan and the Third Reich before WW2.
