That last in light of the fact that the US company whose CEO was shot made enormous profits while refusing people painkillers.
As you say the winter peak in infections is well known - we just seem unable to plan effectively for it!
We've always had lots of winter virus, covid was something else, but the rest is pretty standard, which doesn't mean it isn't bad or we can't do things about it!
I am seeing lots of norovirus and flu...
there are many many people falling ill from various infectious diseases thanks to the immunosuppressive effects of sars2
and
the NHS is simply poorly managed but that has been the case for decades.
