People expect a lot from FEMA, and although better maps might help, smart individual decision-making is essential.

3. Funding to (re)map floodplains. Many have pointed out that flood maps didn't accurately capture the true flood risk in Ashville, in particular. This seems like a good time to create better maps, maybe that comply with new recommendations FEMA's been given? www.nrdc.org/bio/rob-moor...
