Still thinking about how #LostRecords is one of the first times in a long time that I've played a game with a plus-sized protag. And one of the first instances I've ever played as one where they were written like a genuine human and didn't have 'moves' based around eating.

... Sorry, I had to. 😭
But yeah, there's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing a diverse character that is just allowed to be a person. Not a plot device / gameplay gimmick / whatever.
Seeing good representation is always the best, and it helps that the character is also great rep for anxiety too.
Very tempted to cosplay her and I've not done that in a while mainly due to fear of now being plus sized. Funny that. 😂
Are there modern devs that are so tone deaf they decided "hey, let's make a fat guy! wouldn't it be hilarious if his whole thing was just food?"
If so I've been lucky that I haven't played any.
There's a newer Genshin character who's got a bigger model than other characters, and eating is a part of her whole deal. I'm just tired.
Snorlax I'm OK with. Many Pokémon are supposed to be like exaggerated animals, not humanlike traits to emulate.
The genshin thing though... yikes on trikes.
One of very few larger characters, that is then immediately pegged as a competitive eater and cow-themed is uh. Yeah. It's a choice.
Also, their idea of larger is utterly ridiculous - but I guess it just falls into that anime trope of plus-sized maybe meaning a slightly bigger belly and big thighs.
Better than nothing but it's depressing that's the rep that's out there. 🫠
