I go for a belt personally (specifically the Salomon Pulse). Has the added bonus of adding a bit of luggage capacity too.

I'll have a look, not sure I'm a fan of wearing a belt whilst running but the Salomon one might work for me. Thanks for the suggestion

I second this (although use the UD one). Everything else I've tried was either too much of a faff or uncomfortable so the poles just never got put away
