I have a fleece that I bought in 2004 and it’s frayed but functional (and just needs some light fixes), because we used to make real clothing damn it! You’d buy clothes to last for years — decades, if you were lucky — and now everything lasts for a few wears and we’re told that’s ok. It’s not ok!

My mums 60s, 70s clothes lasted long enough for us kids to get years use of them in the 80s, nothing I own could be passed on like that.
Most other clothes I've bought in the last few years just don't have that lasting power, sadly.
I had been using Cabela's for some layers, but they went full gun nutter with some shirts, so I stopped.
