this oneβs way more specific but I am also OBSESSED with the idea of a Bleach AU where Zoro is a shinigami and Sanji is an Arrancar π₯ΊππΌππΌ
My favorite flavor of zosan is when then hook up but they both try SO hard to make it seem casual with no strings attached when theyβre actually obsessed with each other and everyone around them can tell. all while still being painfully oblivious to each otherβs feelings
RIGHT??? Actually another flavor of zosan I love is when sanji just. drops the gentleman act and just goes apeshit. like for whatever reason heβs just furious and leaving nothing but destruction in his wake
and zoro watches him like ποΈποΈ
can you tell these bastards live rent free in my mind
HEEHEE no this is good too, I think being able to push Sanji until he drops the aloof/gentlemanly vibe and joins him in the pit is one of life's greatest little treasures for Zoro π
I like to think zoro is actually really romantic, but unknowingly, he just does that stuff without thinking and is, in the end, actually more romantic than sanji. Sanji fuming but also swooning
YES AGREED, sanji is all about conspicuous performances of affection and it's not that he's *insincere* about them but he is not at ALL prepared for how deeply and heavily Zoro thinks about love. He's gonna die
Genuinely I think Zoro is surprisingly thoughtful and considerate about that kind of thing... I mean he makes huge gestures all the time, the declaration at the Baratie, his pledge to Kuina... I think if he commits to something he commits HARD and sanji has NOOO idea what's waiting for him lmao
Exactly! He's never gonna be a flowers and chocolate guy, he's not gonna waste time on 'frivolous' stuff. But him showing everyday how he's the most committed guy ever?? Yeah that's real love baby
Related: i watched a trixie/Katya review of a Temptation Island season, and there was actually a couple who proved not to be annoying horrible people lmao. They ended the season actually more committed and happy than before...that's the energy I see for them lol
EXACTLY. Like I think for all Sanji's posturing he really has no concept of 'romance' outside of the little things like serenading your partner, fancy dinners out, etc... just the kind of stuff you see in movies... he's not prepared for a Real Romancer like Roronoa "that ok with you captain" Zoro
Zoro strikes me as the type of person to pick up random stuff and objects that reminds him of people and Sanji yells at him to stop picking up garbage but keeps all the stupid little things Zoro gives him
Sobs. You're so right... he picks up this blue marble like from a ramune type bottle and he gives it to Sanji
Sanji: why
Zoro (thinking about how it looks like the ocean and blue eyes) that's you
Sanji (thinking): trash??????
Zoro always gets lost and the only person he comes back without fail everytime is Sanji(because they love each other lmao β¨destinyβ¨) he gets "mad" at the fact at first, but at some point he just accepts it and lets it happen, he loves him anyway, he WANTS to find himπ₯ΉππΌ also,
Not only because his internal compass always points to Sanji, but just like with liquor, he can find Sanji wherever he is in the world just by the smell in the air π¬οΈβ¨π whenever he wants to find him.
Yes... one of my zosan ideas is that Zoro naps on Sanji, happy and relaxed and Sanji sleeps on Zoro, because there is a difference! Sanji can truly relax cause he knows he is safe in his armsss aaahhh ! ππ₯Ίπ
zoro and sanji are both so not used to physical affection that like. at the beginning of their relationship, any and all touch is a little overwhelming for them. they need to take their time πββοΈ
You're soooo right... zoro is used to getting skinship from letting other people hang all over him, but being the one to reach out...? And Sanji is just generally not touching anyone lol so he might explode
A lot of "YOU WANNA FIGHT??" for a while because they both know that's not what it is but they literally don't know where to go from there so they default to factory settings lol
So when Sanji gets to the galley, panic on his face for waking up so late for breakfast prep, the crew stares at him while he is breaking hard at the door.
"I'm so sor- huh?"
"Oh, Sanji kun, good morning"
"What huh? Who?"
The crew points to the kitchen, Sanji looks over and sees who feed the crew for him.
Is Zoro, cooking some bacon and eggs, toasts and making coffee, is not the bed but is something, the crew doesn't seem to mind, in Luffy's words, was delicious (he'll find anything delicious)
never not thinking about how Sanji never had a friend his own age and Zoro never had someone who felt like an equal (always stronger - kuina, mihawk, luffy; or weaker)
and then they met each other and it kinda... idk made sense?
Literally my favourite part of their dynamic it makes me so EMO... shipping aside I've always felt they were so important to each other and it's why Luffy could tell Zoro was upset when Sanji left... they both finally have someone it's safe to just be Goofy around
I am constantly thinking about Sanji being the person with whom Zoro can fully relax and put away the weight of his role on the crew. And simultaneously about the two of them probably being each otherβs first friendship with a boy their same age.
SOBS... YEAH..!! Neither of them really grew up with peers one way or the other and Sanji is one of the few people Zoro doesn't feel like he has to be responsible for. It must be freeing
Yeah and like⦠not even getting into how I write smut for them or anything (though I certainly could), I just love Zoro being able to nap around the crew in general but especially around Sanji. And also the idea of him being kinda clingy after WCI/Wano, and not even necessarily romantically.
YEAH especially because Zoro is kind of weirdly possessive of Sanji in canon anyway LOL with how he gets anytime Sanji flirts with girls... after WCI he'd always be "keeping an eye" on him and after Wano he'd feel even more possessive. Kinda moe
And itβs probably a different kind of clingy than he felt after Water 7/Enies Lobby with Robin and Usopp (especially Usopp). Sanji leaving probably spooked him more than he wants to let on (initial uncaring reaction on Zou notwithstanding).
Keeping an eye on him like in that one eyecatcherβ¦
Iβm having thoughts of them sensually exploring each otherβs body. Not in a sexual way but the idea of touching another human skin to skin. Running hands over the curves and imperfections. Itβs extremely romantic to me.
Ahh this is sweet... Zoro is such a touchy-feely person, like he doesn't seek it out but you can see in the kinds of people he allows around himself (Usopp, Luffy, Chopper, even Johnny and Yosaku) that skinship is something he enjoys. Meanwhile Sanji is touchstarved and I think it may just kill him
But also I think he has built up all of Zoro's scars and what they mean in his head to the point of mythology haha so I think he would be equally excited and terrified to be allowed to touch them. Especially the one on his eye because he has no idea how it happened
Yes all of this! The image of Sanji touching Zoroβs eye scar is my favorite thing. Sanji would have questions about it that he knows Zoro wouldnβt answer.
It has to come back, it just has to.... It's such a wild thing too, a huge secret between them after another big secret in Thriller Bark, I'd love for all of that to blow up in front of the crew as well
Though if it doesn't I will simply take matters in my own hands
I think it's interesting how during water 7 and WCI the zosan dynamic is just not a problem, cause they're both arcs that like are focused on issues within the strawhats and you would assume that a dynamic within the strawhats to do that with would be zosan but no, they're cool
Yeah, the way they kind of complemented each other during W7 was really interesting to watch. As usual they held opposing positions but they kind of agreed where it was important, and it was the first time you saw them acting as a united front, despite differences in opinion.. many thoughts
I think a lot about how zoro can only be vulnerable with sanji after the timeskip ;-; he's so much more serious and always on guard bc he needs to protect his family and sanji is the only one he feels like he can fall apart with π
YES the fact that Zoro gets more distant with everyone else but Sanji because he's really solidified this idea that Luffy is in the big leagues and it's up to the two of them to flank him - I think being able to rely on Sanji is a bigger deal than he lets on, hence why WCI hurts so bad
Zoro is a dude who quietly takes on other people's burdens even if they never ask him to (achieving Kuina's dream, achieving Luffy's dream, protecting people around him weaker than him) so I feel like he must be so grateful to think Sanji can carry his own weight haha
YES EXACTLY he puts so much on himself but doesnt show it, but sanji can still see it so clearly!!! Like on punk hazard when he says zoro's hard on himself.......man

Sanji: why

Sanji (thinking): trash??????
He tries to see how Sanji prepares these dishes and what makes them delicious.
When Sanji is feeling tired, Zoro tries to then copy what he's gathered by watching and cook for the crew (or try) -
"I'm so sor- huh?"
"Oh, Sanji kun, good morning"
"What huh? Who?"
Is Zoro, cooking some bacon and eggs, toasts and making coffee, is not the bed but is something, the crew doesn't seem to mind, in Luffy's words, was delicious (he'll find anything delicious)
He is even wearing that dumb pink apron Sanji wears.
"For having swords and booze in his brain, I admit he did a good job..."
and then they met each other and it kinda... idk made sense?

Can't wait to see where Oda goes with that
