Multiple lines about his Olympics, jump shot problems, not a natural passer, helped out by the talent he is surrounded by. I'm not even saying any of these things are not true but the other top player profiles are full of effusive praise it seems
Read the Tatum portion and just an fyi this is simply not true. You should either label it correctly as “First Team All NBA Selections” or you should report the correct number of All NBA Selections that Tatum has (4)
We also introduced "Point/Counterpoint" breakdowns that dive a little deeper into some of the more contentious player vs. player debates we get into while putting it together: https://nbarankings.theringer.com/
How is Luka bulletproof at #2 given the Mavs bad start and his disastrous defense? He's still a wizard but the way he floats despite putrid effort in half the game baffles me
Great list! You guys are killing it with the design and the write-ups. I don't think Luka is that controversial at #2 and I've been pretty down on his play so far this year.
It does matter. A change may be in order at some point down the line. It's also worth noting: Milwaukee's offense and defense are bad with Giannis on the court (the Bucks have a negative point differential in these minutes) while Dallas's offense AND defense are very good with Luka on the court.
I'm surprised Embiid is at 9 given his play this season. I understand giving players the benefit of the doubt based on past performance, but Embiid seems genuinely hurt and limited. and I'm concerned this season will be the first of a Kawhi-esque diminishment for Embiid and he shouldn't be top 10.

Just starting to look, but Embiid (IMO) is way too high given his uncertain status right now.
We all know who scored the most points during Embiid's MVP season.
(It was Jayson Tatum)
