There is no occupation of any of those 3. There is reason why the left bank insist to be called Pridnestrovie & it has to do with what Romanian Axis forces did there. The left bank was part of Ukraine SSR prior to 1940. Abkhazia & South Ossetia were Georgia’s doing. Georgian chauvinism.

The administrative lines made by Stalin/Moscow unsurprisingly didn’t come out well for everyone. Ossetia was split in half. They split apart the ethnicities of Gagauz, Lezgin, Avars. Many autonomous republics got screwed during collapse of USSR or immediately afterwards. Denied independence
