I wonder why they refer only to the last part (Labour/people) when they talk about freedom of movement as if they could separate it. They cannot have only trade, without the rest which are indivisible for the EU. It seems they weren’t EU members for more than 40 years, they fail to grasp the basics

Let's demand people get a stamp in their passports to travel between the UK and EU, and charge a small fee for it. Then it will *not* by definition be "free" movement and that will make to optics in the UK so much "better".

No need. That’s already in hand. UK citizens will from 2026 have to have an ETIAS in order to enter the EU, and EU citizens now have to have an ETA to enter the U.K. Does that help, do you think?

I’ve already informed the Labour party that they have lost my vote because I am now worse off than before despite the state pension increase as I now pay more tax!
