Any immigration attorneys know what’s going on with deportees sent to Guantanamo? Will they ever get to go back to homeland? Most arrested immigrants are NOT criminals& Guantanamo is for the very most hardened criminals. Has anyone been sent to El Salvador prisons from US? Is anyone monitoring?

Good questions although gotta disagree. Guantanamo isn’t for “the most hardened” etc. It’s where we put the people who had been tortured, or who we then tortured, and so we couldn’t bring them to the US. Because tortured confessions are inadmissible. Or, sometimes, because they were innocent.

We had Uyghers detained there who no country would accept. Innocent. Turned in for the rewards we paid. Kept for years and years.
