I love Stellar Blade but let's not kid ourselves. It's a very fun game but doesn't quite have the same soul as Nier. Maybe if it did we would be having a different GOTY discussion.

I so desperately want the game's story to match the hype of its music & game play but it simply doesn't, imo.

My least favorite is "Cyberpunk got cheated by Elden Ring" as I'm playing the game, loving the second playthrough, hating all the glitches, and how much it crashes back to the main menu. Plus I'd need new a new system to play the dlc. I'm thankful it's not ruining my saves this time.

No matter how much my friends keep trying to get me into it, I can't help but find Balatro to just be the best game of 2024 for bored moms who are stuck waiting at the DMV.
