The Trump administration cites a survey that only 6% of federal employees are working full time in their offices. The number isn’t true. Why do administration and elected officials keep relying on it? @sengelberg.bsky.social takes a closer look.

When will people finally understand that the #1 GOP Rule is:
"If Lips are Moving = Lies Are Spewing"*
& Trump is a Pathological Liar with over 30K documented LIES in Trump 1.0
Pathetic Legacy Media rolled over & still afraid to use the word L-I-E is
*true 99.8% of the time
Because the sheep are gullible and the MAGA faithful blindly believe everything they say - and this will be another false fact that becomes standard in their beliefs.
They cite it to anger the average working stiff who has to slog off to a “real job” site everyday. Anything that can make onlookers feel little or no sympathy for the federal workers losing their jobs—that can make them think well , they deserved it —is exactly the end game
The stupidity of all of this is that a lot of remote work has grown to save on money. So much has gone entirely online, why would the government want to rent buildings just for people to do work that you can do online from anywhere? Even our new office was built for mostly telework.
Hummmm, why does the administration and certain elected officials keep relying on the falsehood? Could it be they've made a habit out of lying to the American people in an effort to manipulate them? 🧐
Why do new organizations lead stories with the false information? The facts should be first, then as little as the lie as possible to give false info its smallest life. This story makes the same mistake. I read for a while, but never did find the real number.
This is such a smug lie from Ernst’s office. Federal workers are being fired in droves based on obviously false pretenses, and the lie she started about remote work is one of those false pretenses. That’s the controversy
We need to write letters to the editor in our local papers and set the record straight. All the information is here, it is we who are going to have to set the record straight.
They keep relying on it because they lie about literally everything. Truth doesn't matter to them, it gets in the way of the narrative they're trying to sell.
Some of the scorn should also go to Federal News Network for ever publishing such a flimsy survey. It was ill-conceived, lazy journalism, and the damage to their own readership has been catastrophic.
Because it wasn’t exactly a secret before this that some members of Congress might cherry pick numbers in bad faith? But even setting that aside, what news/informational value was there in even publishing a readers poll that you already know is both unauthoritative and misleading?

So very normalizing...
Most Americans are not on bluesky.
A hoax, a phony, a ruse, untrue, false.
They duped a bunch of sad American voters who buy lotto tickets with their cigs and imagine an instant better life.
See, THAT'S a strong, true headline that doesn't pander to fascists. Stop pussyfooting around.
