I love the thing where you leave your mouse over a youtube thumbail and then click on it later and it pretends you were watching the video in a tiny thumbnail with no audio and drops you right in the middle shit like who decided to do this

the worst part is when you decide not to watch it because it looks stupid and then all your recommended turn into stupid stuff just like it because you definitely were watching it in the microscopic thumbnail.
But for now they have mercy it can be disabled in youtube's settings.
God, what I hate more is when I'm not paying attention and let my mouse hover over something in the recommended page that I would never want, and now suddenly it's both in my history as watched and affecting the algorithm.
The saddest thing is that before that, it showed you random parts of the video to show you wether it is interesting or not. Also i THINK the thumbnails where much bigger so that you can actually see something on the thumbnail. Now it's just small and there's just two giant images edited on it.
To be fair that last part is partially the users fault because there were a few who did that on their own and they were successful and few people said anything and because yt wanted more to seem more successful they made it so that videos with this kind of thumbnail gets recommended WAY too much.
Shareholders start trying to flay your skin off if you don’t implement at least one new “feature” each fiscal quarter so I’m guessing some terrified intern made it while trying to fend off a bunch of cocaine crazed d plus student MBAs

Literally why?!
I hate some of its baggage that has already been mentioned here though (previews counting as views for your history and the algorithm)
