Steam achievement/game metrics are weirdly consistent about player drop off across the course of most games, like 80% finish just the start of a game, 60% finish some more, 40% get through a good chunk and there's the steady 20% that'll claw their way through to the end.

I bounced off of them once I realized the "limitless upgrade stacking/OP synergy" nature of most modern roguelites means most of them turn into endgame Path of Exile 1 where you're making half the screen explode every two seconds.
