If you’re Jewish, you get new hate speech laws, gov grants to beef up security & an envoy to defend you. If you’re GLBTIQ, you get nothing except murder or assault & the police don’t even bother to investigate. Ain’t it grand to be a minority.
I don’t begrudge protection for Jews. I just wish the police would investigate the murders of gay & transgender people. In one murder, they only checked the pockets of the dead man thirty years later & found crucial evidence.
I'm sure you're more knowledgeable in this area, however I've a large amount too, aware personally & through research of the many injustices for multiple decades, not just here but O/S too.

I despair for LGBTQI+ in the US at the moment. Seems like the ignorant bigot in the WH is going to cause a hell of a lot of harm over the next four years.

I despair for many minority and marginalised groups, another one is people with disabilities and those with severe mental illnesses, the WH speaks of them in the same breath as many criminals.
Darker times for those already struggling and hurting.
