yesss! i truly believe that! i'll admit that if i'd had the money (or, ahem, education was free), i probably wouldn't have wound up where i did (because i desperately wanted to move away from my home area code lol), but i'm grateful to have had the experience i did.

I actually moved back to my hometown from pdx because the ca education system was so much better (and cheaper! at least at the cc level)

Someone needs to tell governor haircut that gutting higher ed and gleefully throwing away unhoused ppls possessions isn’t going to make him president.

lol that's actually my favorite thing about him-- that people on both sides of the aisle think he's a complete fucking scumbag, but for opposite reasons. it's nice that we can all agree that he sucks, though. (a friend did thirst text me about him once, though, which... i was concerned for them lol)

This is terrible. As another proud CSU alum, going to an affordable school was crucial for me to be able to get higher ed at all. It's going to be so rough for current and incoming students and faculty.

tuition and fees keep increasing, but faculty salaries rarely do (and admin rarely ever take any kind of cuts, despite their massive incomes), and now they wanna cut programs and make the system “ai-powered”… it makes me so sad.
