It boggles me that, with everything going McConnell's way, why he allowed Trump to sully it. Why didn't he put a stop to the attempted power grab like you say he could have. What was he expecting for his endgame?
It’s easy to get caught up on the most recent decline of the constitutional order, but the paralysis of Congress move of policymaking power out of the legislature and into the unelected judiciary was a long, deliberate effort, and McConnell spearheaded it.
Excellent piece. As true as it is horrifying. I would wish his last days are filled with a crippling bout of conscience, but I fear he’ll obliviously dodder on. History, however, will mark him for the evil he has done.
The grim reaper bragged that under his tenure legislation came to die, and he also reshaped a rogue Supreme Court that adopted “money is speech,” “unitary executive” and “immunity” theories—a blueprint for tyranny. Among figures in American history McConnell deserves the innermost circle of hell
Between Mitch McConnell and John Roberts it’s a toss-up as to who has done more damage to the American political system and everything downstream of it.

Fuck McConnell. I wish him the worst.
Anyway, she said some immigrants went right because they were frustrated by the broken immigration system.
That’s McConnell’s legacy: people losing faith in govt (owing to sabotage).
