Approaching them is not allowed for their safety. It's like how you can't walk up to the judge's bench in court. The official charge is "distrupting a lawful assmebly," and it's a misdemeanor in CA. He won't spend any time in jail and was released 4 hours later. Might get a fine, but probably not.

Thing is: Others that get ejected from Council meetings are not usually arrested, just taken out of the room & warned.
His arrest by HBPD was at the sole request of the mayor. They had to wait a couple hours to find out on what charge the mayor wanted him booked.

This was because of who he is.
