I have a DS mockup in my pinned post and I feel like the heavy asymmetry in the 3DS (top screen being wider when the gameplay should be on the bottom, buttons being asymmetric makes it harder to flip the controls for a left-handed mode) makes the DS a much better fit for the game than the 3DS imho

Honestly while I don’t see the gameplay comfortably working on the 3DS top screen the title screen would definitely look amazing there (since there it would make more sense to put the swirl, cards and logo on the top screen, while the “new game” menu is on the bottom screen at the same time)
Add a sticker button to the upper part of the bottom screen that brings Jokers down for rearranging. This function can also be mapped to the shoulder buttons. Alternatively, allow rearranging Jokers with L and R to select, and holding A + L/R to rearrange—no need to leave the top screen.
