Dear Federal Workers, I appreciate you. You have made a difference in my life, especially the folks at my local Social Security office and the folks on the Medicare phone line. No one has the right to commoditize or bully you - which is what the "buyout" does. Please keep up the great work!
FYI: the person behind this supposed “buyout”, Elon Musk, promised the same thing to Twitter employees AND THEN NEVER PAID THE MONEY because the employees had “resigned”.
Another FYI: The “deferred resignation” is likely not legal so the administration will have grounds to not pay out if you choose to resign. They will have your resignation email and you will have no job, no severance and in my state no access to unemployment benefits as you resigned.
