This morning, Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin — a "stop the steal" organizer and Jan. 6 defendant advocate — sent an email titled "Operation Whirlwind" in which he said he's personally launched an investigation into Sen. Chuck Schumer.

Ed Martin is WAAAAY more important that people understand. The US Attorney is who prosecutes crimes that in any other jurisdiction goes to a local prosecutor. So this is an incredibly dangerous development

The silver lining is that if he spends all his time spinning his wheels investigating nonsense like this, he won't have time to do much real damage. Even boring old Schumer can weather this and spin it to advantage.
