As an aside, I’m sad to confess that laziness is more often a barrier to me supporting things than cost. The odds I’ll chip in money to something quadruples when I see they will take ApplePay. If I think I have to pull out my wallet and type in numbers it makes me put it off and then I forget.

Theres no big corp or owner outside the organization we report to, no one who can suddenly decide to pull the plug, or trim r wings because its now too dangerous to offend the powers that be. We are truly independent. We serve r readers.

3/ 2. We know what we're doing. In November we'll celebrate 25 yrs of continuous publication, almost unheard of feat in digital journalism. You dont get that far by making a lot of mistakes. 4/ 3. We're unionized, w by WGA East. A business has to cover expenses. But we do our best to live up to our values. When TPM editorial decided to form a union in May 2018 and asked for voluntary recognition the company recognized the union three hours later w no conditions or points of negotiation.

this is correct. if you use the app it brings up its own browser. so you have to sign in to that browser too in addition to your regular browser. but once you do it should persist

I don’t use the bsky app but most app lets you disable their internal browser so links use your regular browser.

And you should too bc in-app browsers are commonly used to harvest even more data about you.

Is there something wrong with your payment system? I've tried to sign up four or five times in the last 20 minutes and get an error message at the last step every time (using both GPay and entering my credit card info directly)
