They look awesome.
- Year of debut slightly jarring, given incomings usually reported as draft year
- 3rd colour for three-clr clubs?
- Could add bands to make indv. incomings look more distinct
- Coll was the club Keane played for before Adl, but I think he technically retired in the meantime

I'm about to do a thing I hate people doing to me and that's offer a suggestion without thinking through whether it's realistic: Is there a way to differentiate between different portions of the draft maybe? To illustrate how some teams have used the top end a lot, others more lower down, etc

I reckon there's a couple of things that could help draw that out. One is striping, like I've mocked up for Tom Green here. Instead of just light = pre-debut, dark = post-debut, stripe matches played darker.

The other is icons, so have a simple icon for ND 1-10, ND 11-20, ND 21-40, RD, etc and have those accompany the name on the left of the bar, and also icons standalone on the right of the bar to make it easier to match striping.

Beyond that I think it's probably a different chart. In the current chart both the X and Y axis are time based, so I could make one that puts the buckets vertically based on recruitment categories rather than year recruited, and keep the x axis time based - very rough mock-up

These are fantastic, great work!
2 thoughts:
- Could players be sorted w/in each year by draft type/pick to help compare draft hand each year
- Games gets a bit cluttered, maybe it’s the right-alignment w/ headhunted. Would it feel cleaner if they sat within the stripe w/ just the subtotals outside?

Fantastic. 😍 My only feedback is it's trying to do an awful lot if intended for general consumption. You could remove the right-hand numbers, remove prior team names, and replace [ND/FS/OTH/PSD] with icons if you want viewers to focus on the names & shapes.

I was thinking I could stripe games played within each player’s bar along the time axis so a block of lighter colour = missed a chunk whereas crisp would have a few years solid darker colour
