Speaking for the biomedical scientists among us, our labs (NOT the admin, OUR labs!!) have just had $400mil withheld. There’s no desire among us scientists to just stop doing science, especially now with science is under unprecedented attack. Strike is not a fitting tactic for us.

I really don't know whether it's the golden hand cuffs or just plain cowardice. Every one who works at Columbia, and every student, should just stay home this week.
Every employee at every other university should send money to support striking Columbia employees.
