The book is a commentary by Edward Coke on an earlier treatise by Thomas Littleton (hence its name). Unlike the Talmud there's really only one layer of commentary.

Red= Littleton's treatise (in law French)
Yellow = English translation of the French
Cyan = Edward Coke's commentary
