An OK port of an unremarkable arcade title, the developers had the decency to allow for mouse aiming. Unfortunately thatβs not enough to save the game from the monotony of shooting waves of identical enemies. Plus, saving Aerosmith is not a terribly compelling motivator.
Every week for about a year, I would get my $5 allowance and immediately walk to the arcade a few blocks from my house and dump every bit of it into this game. Haven't found a functioning cabinet in the wild for more than 15 years.
This game confused me as a kid because Aerosmith had not been cool for some time.
They were a VH1 band trying to cop an MTV attitude but their last big "hits" were a 'do me' song sung to his daughter and a paean to transphobia for the Mrs. Doubtfire ST that aged like a hamster in the microwave
