Extremely clear that it was not a home run - fan was reaching way over - but this whole thing is in the bag for the Dodgers and Ohtani, so whatever. MLB gets what it wants.

So we can get runners called out for a finger tip coming off the bag and we all agree replay doesn't need to make that call but they couldn't see that clearly wasn't over... Not sure I get it
Man, let’s not do the whole “Bad call went against us so that means it’s rigged” thing. I know that, societally speaking, it’s the trendy thing to do right now, but this account is so much better than that.
MLB bends the knee to Ohtani, the Dodgers, Japan. Nothing to see here. If he is called out, the Cubs still lose - I get that. Integrity should matter. Replay was installed to get the hard calls right. MLB refuses to do better. Congratulations Shohei on your "homerun" you made your country proud.
Doubt it will factor into the outcome of the game, cause the Cubs offense is just not it right now. But that’s fan interference all day. Not a homer. The Dodgers and Ohtani don’t need MLB’s help. Horrible call.
Even without that HR and with good umpiring & everything the Cubs still lose this game. They are picking up right where they left off the last few years. Definition of insanity.
The thing about this series is it may not matter at all. But if it comes down to 1 or 2 games how do you not point at this series? Losing 2 “home” games a week and a half early after stoping spring training is dumb.

But in the bag for the Dodgers?
Only if “in the bag” = outplaying the Cubs in every facet of the game.
