I just finished your Centenal Cycle, and loved it. I'm churning through books that expand the settings in which I imagine fighting for human rights like equality and self-determination. For almost 250 years, the USA has been the best place for that fight. Lord knows what happens after this.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the books! But I will say, I don't think the USA has been the best or only place for that fight over the last 250 years. MANY places have been resisting tyranny and struggling with the meaning of democracy in various ways, and in this crisis we can learn from them.

Good point! The USA has always had a wicked dichotomy built into our founding docs and into our collective psyche. But we're the oldest and largest, and the "bad guys" have never had quite this much power.

Small comfort that they can't get their shit together. I'm definitely having a moment 🤬
