Initial impression was hopeful. Never had heard of him. Harvard. Princeton. CIB. Books. Veterans organizations. — My assessment now … a dangerous and unprepared nominee. Women 17% of active Armed Forces. 1100 killed and wounded. This fellow is a cowboy. Bad judgement. Bad bio.

Was disappointed when I heard retired General Barry McCaffrey note that Hegseth “has written several books” as part of his praise of Hegseth when McCaffrey was a guest of Nicolle Wallace on Deadline Whitehouse.

4-star loyalty: US Constitution (both spirit and letter)
Pete's loyalty: orange moron
Not so much a cowboy as a malevolent tyrant in waiting.
Thank you General, for clarifying re: the Hegseth nomination.
During a time like this, off the cuff statements from our leaders could feed the disinformation train.
***important point no one has mentioned anywhere ***
Hegseth came up through the National Guard, not the active military. He was in Wall Street when 9/11 happened.
It's extremely likely that he does it fairly regularly; no one buys just one dose of roofies.
He's a bad dude, who likes to work for bad people.
Heggy described him as "deeply patriotic."
