I'm waiting for a similar critique of the brutal, colonialist empire that continues today, grabbing opportunities to expand by invading its neighbours and interfering elsewhere.
Its called Russia, and those most critical of historic Western imperialism (and rightly so) are silent on Russia.
Ordered from public library in Canada. Not available in the major chain bookstore and don't like Amazon. Looking forward to reading. Most people in Canada have only vague awareness of British (English) Empire. I do, but am old and read lots of history
I was admiring Stolen History the other day - would you say it’s aimed at upper primary school age or start of secondary? My 9 year old is history obsessed but also dyslexic, I wondered whether to get it now or leave it a bit…(or maybe just get it for me!)
I have got my daughter’s history class for a level reading this, it is really helping them to develop more understanding and hopefully they will be more aware of how it has shaped us and how they can make change

Should be required reading in UK schools!

Should we await Rees Mogg’s approval or does it contain too my facts?
