She’s been consistently 4 minutes earlier than the scheduled time; I plan for that. An additional 2 minutes is “I might need to call the bus depot” territory
It’s like plate umpires. If you’re consistently giving the pitch up in the zone, I’m fine with it. I don’t need the bus driving equivalent of Angel Hernandez
As a man who frequently gets three kids ready for the bus with my wife at work early is far worse than late. Late means we wait a few extra minutes, early means we waste for my time driving to school.
Six minutes! Will they wait? Or is it a door open/close you’re boned situation?
My 7th grader’s pick up time is 6:25; driver’s been shaving seconds off consistently for two weeks. I’m for efficiency but the unpredictability is what gets me. App is down 75% of the time & we’re 25 mins from school.

This year, aside from the first day, it’s been anything from 7:19 to 7:26. Which, not awful, but we’ve got some things to iron out before the winter.
“too early” means we miss it
And it’s an early bus as it is, it’s hard getting the kids there on time
