I had 2 accounts in the other place. I don't care anymore, I am one person. It feels good to leave behind the 'branding' expected of me on social media.
There's actually a level of posting about games that makes me *less* likely to follow someone. If an account is almost 100% "pic of game I played tonight"? I don't need that in my feed.
That's pretty much where I am at too. I think I play games like 2-3 times a year now, it's a hobby I like but not one I keep up with anymore like I used to. But I also met a bunch of people from there so
I feel this.
I could sell most of my collection and only play once or twice a month and be fine.
My enthusiasm for the industry/hobby has cratered, hard.
I play my games so rarely that they might as well not exist. I'd be as into it as I always was but my family doesn't share my interest, I'm still mostly isolating, & I don't have a game group because people refuse to take things like global pandemics seriously. Leaving only solo or online gaming.
Yeah, I’ve played solo pretty much exclusively since 2020, with maybe two exceptions. It’s something I still enjoy, but my buying and playing habits are very different than what they used to be.

Socializing with people is the goal.
Board games are often the venue.
