The difference between being criticized for keeping too many loose cables around the house and this situation is need dependent. Somehow every time I need one they’re gone but otherwise I look like a slob
I do have a big bag of cables, but things that I actually use regularly (like network and modern A/V) are stored elsewhere. The cable hoard is for if you need like, an RCA cable or a mouse that uses serial
please stop incredulously asking why i don't have a cable hoard. i do. it has all kinds of shit in it up to and including serial cables. it did not have network cables because all the shit in my house is wired.
good point, that does sound like the sort of thing a completely normal and neurotypical person would do and i am most certainly both of those things. thanks!
Although my crowning achievement was when a remodeling show was filming at my house and the sound guy said "I know this is crazy but you don't happen to have an XLR cable do you?" and I did.
lol I had same problem the other day with USB C cables. I swear they lay around here all day and come with everything I buy, but the minute I need one, they all skitter away.
What? Whose house is this? Definitely not my house. I have a box of unused Ethernet cables, BNC cables, another box of power cables - should one need one suddenly in an emergency…. (Taking up space … and the ‘emergencies never happen’) 😂
the box of cables is my savior in times where i need a composite or something like that, but alas not when i need ethernet. the computer cables live separately
The roommate had this problem, finally coming to me to see if he could look in my big box of random cords. You can not partake of the sacred box of cords if you have mocked the box of cords in the past. No cord for you!

shut up. i am downloading silent hill 2 and wifi download on my ps5 is slower than the second coming of christ. i am impatient
Same with latency, if you're at 60ms anyway to the server you won't really notice an extra few ms over WiFi, but if you're 30ms then 3ms extra is 10%
imsorry.

I'm sure I'll need that SCSI Cable DB25 to CN50 in the near future.
My goal is, when dusting, to not move anything. The die cast models might be next to go. 😁
Probably all...TMI.
Simple as.
I am only joking because my spool is also empty.
